Prime Ribeye Steak And Shrimp

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Steak

  1. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to reach room temperature.
  2. Rub the steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle with minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme, pressing the herbs gently into the meat.

2. Sear and Cook the Steak

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the skillet. Once melted and sizzling, sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until a deep golden crust forms.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the oven and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness:
    • Medium-rare: 130-135°F (54-57°C)
    • Medium: 135-145°F (57-63°C)
    • Medium-well: 145-155°F (63-68°C)
  5. Remove the skillet from the oven, add the remaining butter, and baste the steaks with the melted butter. Let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes.
