Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
- Begin by cutting the chicken breast into uniform, bite-sized pieces. This ensures even cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
2. Sear the Chicken
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the skillet and allow it to heat until shimmering.
- Place the seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer in the skillet. Avoid overcrowding to achieve a good sear.
- Cook the chicken for 2–3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt completely.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and incorporate all the browned bits.
- Simmer the sauce for 3–4 minutes, letting it slightly reduce.
4. Combine and Finish
- Return the cooked chicken pieces to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the finely chopped parsley over the chicken, stirring to combine. Allow the chicken to heat through for 1–2 minutes.
